2016 Florida Gators football team
The 2016 Florida Gators football team will represent the University of Florida in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Gators will play their home games at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, and compete in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They will be led by second year head coach Jim McElwain.
==Schedule==
Florida announced its 2016 football schedule on October 29, 2015. The 2016 schedule consists of 7 home, 5 away, and 1 neutral site games in the regular season. The Gators will host SEC foes Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, and South Carolina, and will travel to Arkansas, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. Florida will compete against Georgia in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Gators will travel Arkansas for the first time since 2008. The team will host three of its four non–conference games, including Massachusetts, North Texas from Conference USA and Presbyterian from the Big South Conference. At the end of the season Florida will travel to Tallahassee to compete against in–state rivals, Florida State from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
